Eurovision 2018 dates will make you want to check out hotel deals

MEO Arena Lisbon

With the European Broadcasting Union finally agreeing dates for the next Eurovision Song Contest, fans have already taken to hotel booking sites to secure rooms in the host city of Lisbon.

Much like this year, the contest takes place in the middle of May. the first semi final will be on 8 May, the second two days later on 10 May. The grand final takes place on Saturday, 12 May.

The (open secret) venue for next year is one of the biggest one ever used to stage the annual music event. The MEO Arena is Portugal can seat up to 20,000 people depending on how it is set up – there is an expectation that the final capacity for Eurovision may be a little lower to allow for commentary boxes, a green room and camera runs – plus we fully expect the ‘little stage’ to prove popular after Salvador Sobral stormed to victory by hiding away on one in Kiev.

Confirmed for Eurovision 2018

Already many broadcasters have confirmed their places for the 63rd Eurovision Song Contest, and those who have yet to do so have until the middle of September to book a spot – though even after this date they may still withdraw without penalty up until the end of this year. The EBU usually issues its list of participants around this time.

Ticket sale is expected to start towards the end of this year.
