6 December – It’s who dares, wins

It’s a special day for one particular country, so I couldn’t let it pass without a birthday article. In 1917, our dear dear friends in Finland became its very own country. If you’re a fan of all things Baltic/Nordic, have a good old celebrate.

Over the years, our friends have peppered Eurovisions with songs of all descriptions. Some I love, and some I think could have been better. But being Finland, there’s only one song I could pick to highlight Finland’s uniqueness in our world. And before you say anything, yes, this isn’t quite their contest performance.

Finland is 100 today.

Hyvää syntymäpäivää Suomeen!
