Now we’ve got Carola‘s birthday out of the way for 2017, we can concentrate on some decent singers. What’s that? You think Carola’s a decent singer, because she’s won our favourite TV show? It’d be a dull old world if we all liked the same stuff, but don’t forget that Ms Häggkvist only won on countback.
But enough of my rant. Today’s birthday girl Ana Lúcia Pereira Moniz. Before the Kyiv fun and games in May, she’d recorded Portugal’s best ever result. It was a sixth place. However, any country’s best non-winning song must have something about it, so that must make Lúcia some sort of Eurovision royalty, no?
Lúcia is 41 today.
