27 September – Free to do what I want

Daniel Kovac

A duo yesterday. And a duo today. Obviously, it’s only the birthday of one of today’s singers. And it’s the one who wasn’t born in the country he represented. But he did sing in the country he was born in. At the time anyway. It’s Daniel Kovac. He sang for Germany with Chris Kempers, but he was born in Yugoslavia. Yeah, I know Yugoslavia isn’t around anymore, but it was in 1990 when this song about being free was all the rage when it was picked in München in Ein Lied für Zagreb. He’s now got his own band. Daniel is 60 today.

Frohe Geburtstag, Daniel!
