So who is going to represent Estonia in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. Its Juri Poostmann – He delivers and ALWAYS rings twice!
ERR announced that Eesti Laul 2016 will take place in the usual Semi Final and Final configuration as the last few years. The Semi Finals took place on the 13th and 20th February with 10 songs in each, and 5 each will make it to the Grand Final at the Saku Suurhalle on the 5th March. The Semi Final performances were recorded “as live” (as usual) and the Final will be totally live!!
Two semi finals have now been and gone and the qualifiers for them can be seen from the menu above. They had 2 weeks to hone their performances before the big show on 5th March. As with most Eurolaul, it was a good show, the finalists are shown below and Juri was the winner after a superfinal and jury and televoting malarkey. Juri is the current winner of Estonian pop Idol… yet another alum of this kind of show. The song seems to have gone down well in the internet community but what do you think?
