Omar had better not come back without all his notes.

Omar Naber

Omar Naber at Eurovision 2017Omar had some back-lighting issues in the first run-through and, thankfully the cameras realised where he was on the second go, but he’s not singing the right notes it appears.

Omar strains to hit the long and high notes, which really is a problem in a song there its USP is the fact that Omar is a (supposedly) good singer.

For the second time today, the assembled Press Centre guffawed and “oohed” at a very bad note that came out of Omar in his second rehearsal.

For the third go, they toned down the white backing and warmed it into blue, but that won’t help when the vocal is not on point.

Omar is a good singer and will probably bring this out of the fire come Tuesday, but in my opinion this comes from such a low base that it might struggle to qualify.

He needs to find the notes in the right order and quick.
