Germany in mid-table shocker

Levina

This has improved immeasurably from the national final to here. There has been some work done on this song by Levina and her team to get this from “all over the shop” to “bloody hell, Germany isn’t coming last“.

The black and white effect on stage is very effective and Levina literally just sings the song down the camera, and that’s what makes it effective for me – she’s connecting more than she did in the German National Final.

The song itself is very album track-a-like and of course that isn’t going to change, but when you couple the staging and her performance, it raises a very boring entry to something where the interest is piqued.

Good work by her team. The Germans should be proud that this isn’t as bad as it could have been. We in the UK know exactly what that feels like.
