Lucie Jones, singing for the UK at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest

It seems that the UK were having issues with their large glass erection which could present a problem when it comes to the real thing in under a week.

However, back to the actual performance ... it's basically the same as a couple of days ago, but it seems that Lucie has been told to "look at the one with the red light on", and it connects a lot better and earlier in the song than I expected.

The gold backing is really effective, and from the hall it looks even better. I've seen UK rehearsals sparsely populated from the press pit but this one had a good attendance.

This could do surprisingly well...

And as it happened from Eurovision Ireland

  1. I assume you mean no song has won recently when performed last? It hasn’t happened for a long time, but I think the last song performed has won 7 times, including France 1977, Germany 1982, Luxembourg 1983 and Yugoslavia 1989.
