Hungary – A Dal? – It’s like the MF from the East … of Anglia

A Dal Eurovision Hungary

It seems that the test of strength that is A Dal is back. Hungarian Broadcaster DUNA has today announced an exact facsimile of last year’s contest in terms of how they’ll pick the song that will finish halfway down the board in the final.  The songs are listed at the bottom with a couple of names and blasts from the past – Kallay Saunders being the most famous.

You can hear (very) short clips of each song online.

Now, to stop you lot asking questions during the SIX weeks this thing lasts for, this is how it works.

[alert type=green ]Heats – 3 x 10 songs.   Top 5 on Televote and Jury and the Best of the remaining 5 on a further televote from each heat qualify for the Semi Finals.

Semi Finals – 2 x 9 songs – Top 3 on televote and jury  and the best of the remaining 6  on a further televote qualify for the final.

Final – 8 songs.  First round Jury whittling 8 down to 4 – Final Round Televote only. [/alert]

Aren’t you glad you asked or that I cared? – No? – well arsebiscuits to you cos I spent my hard earned time memorising this!

and … this …

This contest produces gems like this on a regular basis and yet they get ignored by fans … can’t THINK why?!
