“That Monty“, occasional contributor, party editor and all around good egg has been recognised by another Queen – Elizabeth II in this case, and has been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire!!
The Citation, in the London Gazette, reads:
but we all *know* what it’s actually for … Services to schlager and fabulousness and OnEurope over the years!
Does this mean that Her Maj is reading the things we write (ma’am)? Have we got a secret admirer? Or is Prince Harry on the turn? We suspect not, but bugger it, we’re over the moon for our Monty!!
