An afternoon journey into Night

As it turned out, Hari Mata Hari was still warbling when I got there, so I saw a few run throughs of Bosnia. It’s got possibilities, though I’m not entirely convinced by what I saw of the staging… there looks like there’s going to be a very nice runaround shot in the instrumental break (most of the instros are sitting up on raised bits of the stage, until they eventually walk down to the front and form a line of 6 in an ominously Israeli choreography). I dunno… I reckon it’s still to the qualifying, but I wouldn’t have thought it’s to the wonning. Mind you, it’s unlikely to be the meat in a Baltic/North Atlantic sandwich in the final.

This brings us to Silvia Night, who was very pink and fluffy and swore like a trooper. I’ll leave it to other news sites to spoil all the surprises in the show for you, but I left that performance with a very big smile on my face and then accidentally told an Icelandic D2 that Silvia’s all bull and bluster and won’t get in trouble because she won’t swear when the cameras are running. I have a nasty feeling that OnEurope is raising the stakes here! 🙂
