The whole week long, I’m waiting for Sunday

What makes a winning song? A Swedish writer? Something annoyingly catchy? Good-looking performers? There might be more things, but many Eurovision fans might go along with these things. Today’s random is missing at least one of these elements, so you might have already dismissed it is drivel. But bear with me, as one of these elements certainly applies. And it’s in a language you don’t hear much at Eurovisions these days – German. You must remember German. Two songs in the last ten years have come from Germanophone nations.

But which song is this? It’s actually 35 years old, and performed on a stage that was “different for every song”. And it had those microphones that were not wireless. How quaint. Enjoy it anyway, even if it#s only Friday.
