Now, regular readers of this fine fine website will know my feelings about the contest being “Gay Christmas” – and the fact that even though I am a whoopsie myself, I don’t think that the contest should be invaded by drag acts and the like. It’s a controversial position, given the winners of 1998 (ugh) and 2014 (can live with that).
It’s also well known to people that contribute here, so when Mr Deller was asked to “pick something hideous” for this week’s video vault, he came back and said “I think I’ve found something that ticks all your repulsive boxes”.
And boy, was he right!
