It’s apparently the first day of Spring, so that sap is rising, and a Eurovision fan’s attention turns to thoughts of… But in the absence of that, I’m picking one of our favourite subjects – a trier. You know the sort, one of those individuals that keep coming back, despite the setbacks and things. And in recent Eurovision history, they don’t come much more trying that Valentina Monetta. Three years in a row she tried. Eventually she got her three minutes of fame on the Saturday night. But who needs that song when we can see where it all started…?
