Are there entries you forget? Those songs that competed as earnestly as any other, and yet disappeared without trace once the curtain went down on another contest.

Plenty of countries have songs that you can recall year in, year out. Let's take, for example, San Marino. Some of their songs have been so memorable, but not for all the right reasons. But today is song from Croatia, and today's birthday boy Adolf 'Dado' Topić (no wonder he goes by the name Dado). He was part of Dragonfly, and they have the dubious distinction of being the first Croatian not to feature in a Grand Final. It just goes to show that that marathon 28-song semi-final was a killer.

Dado is 69 today.

Sretan rođendan, Dado!
