What could be more perfect? A contest in Sweden. A Scandinavian win. A great bunch of songs. A very competent hostess, even if she can’t repeat votes very quickly. Unless you’re plucky little Belgium that is. In the days when songs scoring no points was more likely, they must have been pleased that they scored points. But Linda Lepomme only scored 7 of them. Two behind Portugal. In any other year, her little song might have done better. But in an excellent field when classics like Eläköön elämä, Ole ole and Sku’ du spør’ fra no’en didn’t fair that well, I think Linda was in good company. Linda is 60 today.
