Eurovision birthdays 28/11 – Hallo, hello, hullo

The 1990s were an interesting decade. We went from a steady stream of ‘Old Europe’ songs and jury voting to a copious amount of countries (including mine) and letting the viewers in on the act. We said goodbye to the magnificent Frank Naef (I maintain Signore Cutugno for his demise). We also had an interesting array of sets, like the little one from 1990. There you would see the perennial triers Denmark and their bouncy bubbly Lonnie Høgh Devantier Askou Kjer (Lonnie Devantier to her friends) in her nice orange outfit. She sang about the outdated concept of actually speaking to people on telephones. Lonnie is 42 today.

Tillykke med fødselsdagen, Lonnie!
