What’s this? A woman wearing trousers? Whatever next? Women conductors? Women writers? Women hosts? Oh, wait, that happened before 1966. Maybe because today’s birthday girl Åse Maria Kleveland broke with tradition and didn’t wear a nice dress, she had to trim the length of her song instead. This is one of the shortest songs to be performed in a Eurovision stage, and her feat will be equalled by our friends from Finland. So she’s a trailblazer. Åse is 66 today.
Gratulerer med dagen, Åse!
