Cristina Scarlett is singing that she has no feelings of mercy. She’s dressed half in chiffon and half in a bronze breastplate. Imagine Katerina from Macdonia singing Od Nas Zavisi but rotated by 90 degrees and in blue. It’s a mess, but being so it goes ever so well with her performance which, and let’s not mince words here, is dreadful.
She struggles so much with the opening verse, it’s just too low for her. Not even the application of some intriguing looking dancers and some quite nice staging can save this, in my opinion. She seems to have caught the make-up department during their lunch break. The warrior look is, bizarrely, extended to her microphone which appears to be in a sheaf fashioned to look like a dagger. With that lack of mercy I’d steer well clear around midnight on Tuesday, there’s no telling what a woman scorned may resort to.
