Eurovision can be about triumph over adversity. No matter what gets in your way, if you want to get on, there’s bound to be a way. to do so. And if you want a prime example of someone who didn’t let anything get in her way, here’s Monika Kuszyńska. She had a hiccough in her career in 2006 when she was the lead singer of the band Varius Manx, but she came back. And in Vienna (remember Vienna and all that rain?) she surprised us all and only went and got through to the Saturday night final. Good for her. Monika is 36 today.
