Eurovision songs cover all sorts of subjects. Some of us are old enough to remember the days when everything was about Europe (re-)uniting, which made a change of songs about falling in love, or waxing lyrical about sights in Stockholm. Back in the bunfight of 2014, there was a song that, it’s fair to say, broke the mould. It was about a very sensitive subject and was a noteworthy choice for a song. I won’t go into the theme, as you’ll be able to find that out when (yes, when) you watch the video below. Birthday boy András Kállay-Saunders is actually back in A Dál with his band this year, but don’t let that put you off. And Monty, if you’re reading this, please control yourself. András is 31 today.
Boldog születésnapot, András!
