Wouldn’t you like to see Poland win our favourite TV programme someday? I know I would. The chance to see Donatan and Cleo again. Or seeing what colour Michał Wiśniewski’s hair is now. And of course there’s Warsaw itself with its massive Palace of Culture. It’s like Sofia’s but a bit bigger I’m told. Anyways, back to today’s birthday boy, who is Andrzej ‘Piasek’ Piaseczny. Happily for all of us non-Polish types he used a nickname. And even happily-er for us, he witnessed one of the biggest achievements by wonderful Estonia. Poland gave Piasek is 45 today.
