Do you like short names of acts? I think they really do help in this day and age. In 1982 they took it to the other extreme, with names like Aska, Mess and Doce. But generally they make things easier for fans and those pesky commentators who occasionally get thing right. So those Luxembourgers in 1985 must have been a nightmare for all concerned. Not quite as bad was the Turks who sang in 1991. They could have gone snappy, but no, they went for all three names İzel Çeliköz, Reyhan Karaca & Can Uğurluer doesn’t exactly roll of the tongue – İzel, Reyhan and Can would have been fine. Or maybe IRC. Anyhoo, Reyhan (the one in the red dress) is 45 today.
