Invasion of the Bright Red Northerners

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. And it was all going so well too!

The boat trip out to the islands was fantastic, the weather was glorious, the sun was hot and strong, and … well, the results were predictable. The general consensus is that we lost 66.7% of Cosmos on the first island, Aegena, and by the time we returned to port in Piraeus at 19:00 this evening, you have never seen so much sunburn in one place in your entire life. You’ll be playing spot the sun-dried-tomato on Saturday night, unless make-up earn an overtime rate.

I fear I’ve been crisped up as much as any and worse than most, so I’ve retired to the apartment and put a wet flannel over my head, whilst the rest of the team carried on up the line to Irini to watch the second semi-final run through (now in progress). Might be minimal reportage from one or more after the songs finish, but more likely is that the next you’ll hear will be tomorrow afternoon when we set up camp in front of the press centre screens to watch the third run through as it looks on t’telly.

Right, best replenish my flannel, I feel! Owowowowow…
