Riigi goes to Kööpenhamina – More Wednesday afternoon

Mr Phil has b*ggered off now, but he missed one of the highlights of the day. More later…

Slovenia came on after a comfort break in proceedings. The lovely Tinkara appeared in the purplest dress I’ve ever seen. If the Ribena berries had a graduation ball, the female ones would be wearing something like this. The mikes had issued in that we heard the wrong people at the wrong times. I think the crew might be getting a little jaded. I know I am.

And then we had Romania. Paula appears first as a hologram. Why, I ask myself, as she appears in the flesh shortly after. And then Ovi uses the prop of the day, the trampolines aside. Imagine a large circular toilet seat. Now imagine it tilted, supported by three legs. Then imagine it in the style of a keyboard. Then imagine Ovi standing within said toilet seat and playing it as a piano. But also imagine him only playing a half dozen notes of it. Finally, imagine the piano still being played as he ducks away and sings with the one and only Paula. But there’s not just one Paula because of the hologram. I guffawed, as did half of the press centre when I saw this. This has gone from a qualifier to a laughable novelty.

I’m off now. Catch you later.
