So who is going to represent Sweden in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest? – 28 hardy souls have put what is left of their career on the line and have stepped forward to ensure that Sweden have another “high” class Melodifestivalen won by Frans!
There were some interesting people taking part in the four semi finals ( line ups which you can also see by checking out the menu above), the ones that stand out for me are Krista Siegfrieds, Anna Book, Linda Cantsing and Tommy Nilsson. It’s like a get together from the Eurovision retirement home for washed up Swedes – and none of which qualified – is Schlager dead?!?!
4 Semis, two through til Friends Arena, 2 to the 5th semi final…. all in all…. the usual which is now over. We have 11 brave souls… and Frans the favourite, ready to get the song thrush trophy. In a very strange voting procedure it seems that most of the songs got the same amount of Televotes and Frans won, as you can see, with a score translated to 14.9% – the lowest since the percentage method was changed in 2011…. Hardly a Franslide is it….
