The EBU and Italian broadcaster Rai today named Turin as the city picked to host the next Eurovision Song Contest.

After a drawn-out process that saw sixteen different places bidding to stage the 66th Contest, organisers today confirmed the shows will take place in PalaOlimpico on Saturday, 14 May with Semi-Finals on 10 and 12 May 2022.

Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor Martin Österdahl called Turin: “the perfect host city for the Contest. PalaOlimpico exceeds all the requirements to stage a global event of this scale.”

Rai CEO, Carlo Fuortes noted: “The choice made by Rai, together with EBU, was not easy given the very high level of the proposals made by the competing cities.”

Further details about the shows, tickets and accompanying events will be revealed in the coming months. If you’re so-inclined, why not sign up to the OnEurope news alert service and be sure of never missing a thing.
