Brooke – That’s Rich
Sounding like a song that came second in the BBC’s ‘Eurovision You Decide’, Brooke turns in a jarring performance of a song that makes three minutes feel like an awfully long time.
It’s a serviceable pop song that you might hear on the radio, but I can’t imagine anyone thinking they need to download the song or hear it again. And this is where the televoters of Europe will fail to vote with their fingers.
There’s always a chance the staging will help – but last year RTE managed to turn a reasonably decent song into a car crash. This year, they’re starting with a decidedly lower standard of raw ingredient.
