Sissal – Hallucination
There’s a peculiar kind of Eurovision entry that feels like it was designed not so much to win as to simply exist. Hallucination falls squarely into that bracket. Sissal delivers her lines with a kind of full-throated gusto that suggests she’s been cast as the voice of Denmark’s internal train announcements. It’s a voice that wants to be powerful, but lacks the precision to make it count—particularly across verses that come thick and fast, leaving little room to breathe, let alone emote.
Musically, this is old-school Eurovision filler—no hook to speak of, no real point of view, and a structure that dawdles along like it’s waiting to be told what to do next. It bears all the hallmarks of a song selected in a panic, or worse, by committee: vaguely anthemic, vaguely meaningful, and destined to be forgotten before the dry ice has cleared.
It’s not terrible. It’s just there.
