Eurovision Countdown 2025: Germany is beige

Germany
Abor & Tynna – Baller

Germany continues its recent tradition of asking the continent, politely, to please ignore it. Baller is a modern-ish track—clean, slick, and utterly devoid of personality. In the national final, Abor & Tynna delivered a performance that made beige look bold. The good news? It sounds like an actual song. The bad news? So does the Nokia ringtone from 2003.

The hook has a kind of low-level infectiousness, the sort that seems fun for about 30 seconds before it begins to gnaw away at your patience with its one-note insistence. It’s not quite shouty, not quite melodic, and once it’s over, you’ll struggle to remember if it happened or if you just briefly zoned out and imagined it.

And yet—given the strength (or lack thereof) in this year’s line-up, it might limp out of the bottom five. Or maybe not. In any case, it’ll be forgotten by Monday.

this the weird child n this year’s Eurovision line up.
To hear this kind of song in German is just weird. She has a no stage charisma at all and I think she was off key during most of the song. I like the music , which is bubbly and unpretentious but somehow the German make the whole thing less bubbly.
It is also very forgettable. When this comes on, to remind people the songs, people will watch not really remembering that it was on.
