Nick “does” 2025 – Spain

Oh Spain. I’ve had such a complicated relationship with you over the years, and we don’t very often give each other what we’re looking for.

But what of 2025? I think this might be a year that we’re providing exactly what we expect from each other. You’re giving me that vivaciously flamboyant and exuberant latino pop style that looks and sounds like the last twenty-five years of Spanish entries have been poured into a Kenwood Chefette, the contents of the bowl have been poured onto a photocopier glass and then someone’s taken a seventh generation photocopy of the photocopy, recorded it onto a Betamax video tape and used a SCART cable to play the recording through a teasmade that they bought from a charity shop.

And I’m giving you 5.
