Belarus and Albania

Polina

I’ve somehow managed to walk out on Kate Ryanair, before she’d even arrived on stage. How rude! I’ve also annoyed the hobnob by dropping one of his camera batteries down three rows of heavily occupied seats. We are OnEurope, watch us crawl between members of the press. I’m biffa of the day again, aren’t I?

Anyway, on to more… good topics, like the Dolcini biscuits with chocolate sauce oozing sensuously from the centre. And I’m not even going to get started on Franko’s chocolatine from last night. Cake porn’s all very well, but not if you’re too overexcited to hold the camera steady. So, no cake porn today either.

What there is, however, is the Belarus and Albania second rehearsals. I still can’t make my mind up on Belarus – I think the choreography’s just too busy, and not really how I wanted to see it staged… it’s not coming last, but it’s not to the wonning in the semifinal either. The false ending is a really odd decision too, as it turns a strong ending into a faintly naff one.

Albania had trouble again, really really struggled to get a full performance out, but his final run through was actually pretty good. Again, I’m not sure that it’s qualifying – there are parts that are really spot on, there are parts that aren’t. They’ve not found an ending to the song that makes me happy either. It’s not to the qualifying… but it’s not out of the question that it’ll get in Bosnia’s way and cause Hari some problems.

Hobnob’s now sitting behind me and typing feverishly about Kate Ryanair. I’m not sure what he’s typing however, as I don’t have eyes in the back of my head. I’ll find out about the same time that you do!
