My personal favourite national final, Eesti Laul, took place on so-called Super Saturday this year and, frankly, I should have been there but hey – these things happen.

So what has been going down? – well we have already had two Semi Finals and two wild card selections, that means that we are at twelve songs for the final held at the Tondiraba Jäähall in Tallinn.

Break for the news

As you would expect from ETV, this show was very well produced and, as usual, had a break for the news because, and this came from their own lips, everything stops for the news – so who are we to argue.

In the first round, all twelve songs came on, and the top three were decided by jury and televoting.

As per usual the 1-2-3 positions in that first round were not made public. Everyone went off for a cup of tea, came back and cast votes in the final which was televote only.

That result, you say? – Oh go on then.
