Koit and Laura win in Estonia

Koit and Laura win Eesti Laul

After their usual spectacular show held at the venue of Latvia’s greatest triumph, the Saku Suurhalle in Tallinn, ETV have given us a Eurolaul to remember.

Ten great songs and a show that would be better than the Mediocrity festival that was on later in the evening. As usual, there was a first round of jury voting to get the final three songs, and purely televote in the second half to get to the winner.

Full results are here, and this is the winning song:

This has a great vibe to it and could well be a challenger to Italy’s run-away favorite at the moment, but it’s ironically about Italy rather than being Italian!

Anyway, on other points you’ll notice that the years have not been kind to Koit Toome (mind you, it has been 19 years since we’ve seen him at Eurovision).
