Tornike Kipiani wins Georgian Idol … and place at Eurovision 2020

Tornike Kipiani

As the bells rang out the old year, Tornike Kipiani celebrated winning Georgian Idol, the talent show picking a singer for the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest.

Tornike was an early favourite, topping the board throughout the series and eventually winning support from both viewers and the traditional ‘expert jury’ that we all love in anything Eurovision.

The singer previously won X Factor Georgian (in 2014) and competed in the Georgian Eurovision national final in 2017.

The search is now on to find a song for Rotterdam.
