8 March – I see a debt to be paid

OnEurope likes today’s birthday girl. Our beloved founder went on a boat trip with her, and they chewed the fat for hours apparently. It was a defining moment for Mr Phil.

It’s apt that the day Ireland announces who’ll be carrying its flag in Tel Aviv, that the lovely Molly Sterling has her birthday. At the time, she was Ireland’s youngest ever participant and was very hard done to in Vienna. Her song had a very profound lyric was very clever. The trouble was that she was second on in her semi-final – never a promising start. She got a high score from the UK of stuff, which was most important. But whatever happened, she’ll always be a star.

Molly is 21 today.

Happy birthday/Lá breithe sásta, Morena!
