Imagine the scenario. You’re part of an act that wins their national final, and gets the lucky golden ticket to some fine city in or near Europe. You do the usual party circuit. You think you’ll get loads of credit for your singing. The only thing is – the name of the act is that of someone not singing.
That fate befell today’s birthday boy Aleksander Walmann Åsgården. Remember him? No? Well, he was the front man of the act Jowst. Jowst was the arranger and music producer who’d written the little song Aleksander was charged with singing. Anyway, Aleksander, Jowst and the rest of them grabbed the moment and eased through their semi-final. They picked up enough points from across the board to finish 10th in beautiful Kyiv. So if you were associated with an act, like Aleksander was, which act would it be?
