Nina isn’t a Housemartin, in fact, she isn’t even a Martin Faulkner, she’s far FAR better than that. This song always had the ol 70’s vibe to it, and now we know why – because it IS a song written for the 1976 Eurovision. There she is, belting this song out with the old TOTP logo’s swirling about in the back ground. My first criticism is that the backing singers are more wooden than any Crossroads set or Amy Turtle ever was, they need to be told to loosen themselves up and look like they are enjoying themselves and not counting to 8 all of the time. However, yer lead singer also looks slightly lost in the madness – or is that a mad look on her face.
At the middle eight, however, they get slightly more animated and run around the stage with the introduction from Jamie and the Magic Torch running in the background in Black and White and Colour.
That’s my 70’s fix complete then!
