“They were playing it while we were coming up the escalators… I even heard someone whistling it in the toilet… this song must be more famous than we thought!”
I still like the Belgian entry, but hearing a run through while we were riding the escalators has broken my brain. It’s lift muzak, it’s what you get played while you’re waiting to speak to someone on the technical support “help”line.
Apparently those who came out of the arena thought it sounded great in the arena. It sounded all right on the telly too, but it’s muzak!
Of course it is… what took me so long?
