If you’ve been wondering where Symphonix had got to at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, wonder no more. They’re behind Big Five Germany’s entry. Today broadcaster NDR revealed that Slovenian Ben Dolic will perform ‘Violent Thing’ in Rotterdam.
The song was written by Austrian-Bulgarian Eurovision veteran Boris Milanov and the staging is in the hands of one-time Justin Timberlake choreographer, Marty Kudelka.
22-year-old Ben was chosen by both a Eurovision Jury composed of 100 people from all over Germany and an international expert jury of 20 music professionals who have all been part of their home country’s national juries at some point.
In a year of turgid ballads, it’s a breath of fresh air.
