Mo’s Eurovision Countdown 2019 – Hungary

This is someone who I already know has it him to belt out a song on the Eurovision Song – even if he might want to have a word with whoever does the staging this time around.

Second time around only works when the song is something truly special. Otherwise the singer stumbles under the weight of unfavourable comparison.

‘Az én apám’ puts me in mind of soft rockers Marillion, with a touch of Roger Whittaker whistling thrown in for good measure. By the half way mark, Joci is pretty much done, and  decides to nah-nah-nah his way to an underwhelming end.

It isn’t special.
