Eurovision favourite screams into the open

Ever since bookmakers offered odds on this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, one country has been tipped to win. Long before it named its artist and well in advance of today’s song reveal. Russia.

Sergey Lazarev unveiled ‘Scream’, the song he hopes will give him the victory he narrowly missed in 2016 coming third when Ukraine romped home with the trophy.

The track is produced by Philipp Kirkorov, composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos, written by Sharon Vaughn and accompanied by the Moscow Symphony Orchestra.

The internet judged Sergey quickly. The Dutch are now favourites to win Eurovision 2019.
