Ireland is gearing up for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland, and RTÉ is on the hunt for the country’s next representative. Following the success of Bambie Thug at Eurovision 2024—where their song Doomsday Blue secured Ireland’s best result since 2000 by finishing 6th—RTÉ has opened submissions for artists, songwriters, and performers to compete for the 2025 spot.

RTÉ is calling for original songs with a performer attached. The deadline for submissions is Monday, November 18, 2024. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of music professionals, with a potential televised selection show in early 2025. This process offers Irish talent a unique opportunity to showcase their work on a global stage, with over 160 million viewers tuning into Eurovision each year.
