Lithuania – Do you really need the olympics to choose a song?

As someone once said, it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon, and despite shortening the course this year, LRT have decided on another huge effort in order to choose their mediocre song for Kiev.

Their selection process kicks off tonight with the first of NINE weekly shows all heading through to the grand final on March 11th (and you thought A Dal was longwinded). I don’t know how many will get through to the second round (which happens from week five), but there will be “at least six” songs in the final on the 11th March.

For weeks 1-4, the Lithuanian public and jury will make the choice, but the Internationals get to vote from week five (Presumably a jury but web votes mustn’t be discounted).
