After many a dirge, often discretely stamped ‘Made in Sweden‘, The Azeri song this time round has its roots firmly in Baku, for the first time since 2008.
It’s a sweet, nerd-fest of a song, though any attempt at sounding dippy-Brit-poppy is lost by rap-talking with a not-quite-right accent. That said, all three of the songs mashed together into two minutes, 59 seconds are easy on the ear. I applaud them for taking a chance on something different.
For me, the problem comes with not being able to recall a single note of ‘Tell me more’ the second it ends.
