Norway – clunkier than a clunky thing

Now … I have said already today that I like simple staging, so Agnete standing Alone and singing at me should be a good idea. However in this instance it is actually the SONG that is the problem. It feels clunky, and changes gear at a very weird point. Several times.

This feels to me like it will be too difficult for Europe’s televoters to get into. No matter how technically clever this might be, and how well the juries mark it up, there are going to be people at home saying, “You know what? I just don’t like it.”

The blue staging and the white dress work well on the television, but there are too many technical things counting against this for it to do well.

Eurovision Ireland’s correspondant (next to me as I type) thinks Agnete will struggle to qualify. I tend to agree.
