The third weekend of national selections kicked off with a raucous Patrick Kielty hosting The Late Late Show Eurosong 2024.
The show definitely had higher than usual production values this year. This was definitely reflected in the standard of the entries, which is always a good thingg, as Eurovision needs a strong Ireland in the contest.
A combination of an International panel (33%), a National jury (33%) and Televoting (33%) decided the winner. As usual, a panel of people in the studio gave their tuppence worth, but they didn’t have Linda Martin. So, they substituted with Sonia instead – well at least they are consistent.
The six acts performed live in Studio 4 and after a long interval, presumably to fill the shows usual slot, the results were as follows :
Song | Performer(s) | Int. Jury | National | Televote | Total | Psn |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Let Me Be the Fire | Isabella Kearney | 2 | 4 | 2 | 8 | 6 |
Doomsday Blue | Bambie Thug | 8 | 12 | 12 | 32 | 1 |
Judas | JyellowL | 4 | 8 | 4 | 16 | 5 |
Go Tobann | Ailsha | 6 | 10 | 8 | 24 | 3 |
Love like Us | Next in Line | 12 | 2 | 10 | 24 | 2 |
Love Me like I Do | Erica-Cody | 10 | 6 | 6 | 22 | 4 |
And so Bambi Thug gets to the Eurovision with Doomsday Blues. We had them on our Radio Show!!!
