Twins TuralTuranX revealed the song they’ll perform when they Azerbaijan at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool. ‘Tell Me More’ is a unique mix of 70s spoken word introductions, white rap and mid-80s twangy guitar breaks. If you can imagine someone putting an early Hall & Oates album on shuffle and throwing in a spoonful of Vanilla Ice, you’ve got it.
But at least it’s made in Azerbaijan.
Brothers Tural and Turan Baghmanov say they are ‘heavily influenced by music from the ’60s and ’70s’ and have co-written the song, and it’s a massive departure from the ethnic bangers we usually expect from the ‘land of fire’.
