According to Italian media, the 2022 Eurovision Red Carpet will take place in the Royal Palace of Venaria.
The event – scheduled for 8 May – is a chance for Eurovision hopefuls to kick back from their schedule of rehearsals and press conferences and wear something fancy. The downside being they’ll be asked inane questions by someone whose grasp of English is marginal at best.
How do you like Turin? What does Eurovision mean for you? How many Cream Eggs can you get in your mouth at once?
The Palace of Venaria is a former royal residence and gardens located in Venaria Reale, near Turin. It is one of the Residences of the Royal House of Savoy, and was added to the UNESCO Heritage List in 1997.
There is as yet no information about the colour of this year’s carpet. Red is a placeholder.
