Waylon has been inspired by American country rock for this musically. Visually he’s been inspired by British soap opera, as he’s wearing the kind of leopard print overcoat that Bet Lynch would have been proud of.
Waylon is centre stage surrounded with what at first appears to be four fellow band members. One breaks into what looks like a medical emergency brought on by the flashing lights, but it transpires that this is part of the choreography. Then others eventually join in this bizarre routine, which just look frantic and utterly incongruous, not to mention completely unrequired.
I was no fan of this before we came out, and nothing about this is changing that. Dear oh dear.
